Applications are invited for the Leiden University Minerva Scholarships 2024. The deadline to apply for Leiden University Minerva Scholarships is April 15, 2024. Participants will not have to pay any application fee. At Leiden University, you may apply to undergraduate and postgraduate programs in a wide range of subjects. The Dutch government offers many scholarships and internships to international applicants each year. The Minerva Scholarship, provided by the Foundation for Leiden University, is one of these awards. The Minerva Scholarship Fund Foundation was founded to offer funding for a range of academic and research endeavors. The Leiden Minerva Student Association established the Minerva Scholarship Fund. According to Dutch income tax regulations, the Minerva Scholarship Fund Foundation is a registered charity (ANBI). The foundation accepts tax-deductible contributions. For a donation to be recognized as an ANBI, it must fulfill specific requirements.

Obligations

• Within three months of the end of the project, you must submit a project report with accompanying images.

Scholarship Amount

• Between €900 and €2000

• Check that you have all the required documents.
• Submit your complete application dossier to the address provided before the deadline.

Selection process

• The allocation committee (consisting of Leiden lecturers from various disciples) will evaluate all applications based on predetermined criteria. During the evaluation process, attention is given to the relevance of the research and how it will contribute to the advancement of academic knowledge.
• You will be informed (maximum) one month after the application deadline whether you have been awarded a scholarship.

The Minerva Scholarship Fund Foundation is a registered charity (ANBI) in terms of Dutch income tax laws. Donations to the foundation are tax-deductible. Donations must meet certain criteria to qualify for ANBI status.

Award Benefits

Leiden University Minerva Scholarships in the Netherlands for 2024–25 will assist students by paying for all of their educational expenses. All international students who receive this scholarship are eligible for the following benefits:

• This fund will provide you with a sum ranging from 900 to 2000 euros to meet the demands of your project.
• You can use this money to pay the costs of your project’s research as well as your living expenses throughout your stay.
• It is also possible to spend the funds on foreign trips.
• A budget of €900 to €2000 will be allocated to your project. This money can be used for research, living expenses, and international travel, among other things.

Eligibility Requirements

The fundamental qualifying conditions for Leiden University Minerva Scholarships in the Netherlands are as follows:

• To apply to this program, you do not need to be a member of L.S.V Minera.
• It would help if you had a high level of research or study in the Netherlands or abroad.
• In this program, your project should be a research, study, or internship.
• After this assignment, you must submit a final report with appropriate photos and details.
• You must be a PhD student at this university who has already completed the master’s degree program there.

Docuemnts Required

• Bachelor’s degrees need a Higher Secondary School Certificate or the equivalent of 12 years of schooling.
• For master’s degrees, you require proof of your bachelor’s degree.
• International Students’ Passport
• A concise resume or CV is required.
• Statement of purpose or motivational letter
• The allocation committee, comprised of Leiden academics from several fields, will assess each application based on predetermined standards.

• Two letters of recommendation
• Certificate of English Language proficiency from the prior institute.
• If the candidate’s former degree was not in the English language, you will have to take the IELTS exam.
