Slovakia Government Scholarships 2024
Fully Funded Scholarship for International Student to work and study in Slovakia.
Applications are invited for the Slovakia Government Scholarships of the Slovak Republic 2024. Candidates worldwide are welcome to apply to the Slovak Republic’s Fully Supported National Scholarships Program for research exchange for Master’s and Ph.D. researchers and University Professors. The National Scholarships Program in Slovakia was established in 2005 with approval from the government of the Slovak Republic to promote student, Ph.D., university instructor, researcher, and artistic mobility.

The Slovakia scholarships for international students support the study, research, teaching, and artistic mobility of international students, Ph.D. students, university professors, researchers, and artists at higher education institutions and research organizations. Sending Slovak scholarship recipients abroad and bringing international scholarship recipients to Slovakia, it promotes two-way mobility. The Slovak Government’s foreign student scholarship program pays for all living expenses and travel costs during the program’s duration (all categories in the case of scholarship holders from Slovakia; students and Ph.D. students in the case of international scholarship holders).
The Slovak Republic government scholarships for 2024 are open to all students, Ph.D. candidates, university teachers, researchers, and artists who wish to pursue higher education in universities and other research organizations in Slovakia.

Scholarship Coverage
- Life expenses (food, accommodation, etc.).
- Student fees.
- A student at a second-level university will pay 400 euros.
- Doctoral students pay 734 euros.
- Without a Ph.D. (or its equivalent) and with less than four years of experience working as a university instructor, researcher, or artist, the salary is 734 euros.
- 980 € with a Doctorate (or its equivalent) and less than ten years of experience working as a university instructor, researcher, or artist.
- 1 050 € and more than 10 years of work experience, along with a Ph.D. (or its equivalent) as an academic researcher, educator, and artist.

Eligibility Requirements
- University scholarships for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degree programs:
- Applicants must be citizens of a developing country (check the list of eligible countries on the official website of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research, and Sport).
- Applicants must have completed their secondary education and meet the academic requirements of the chosen university.
- Applicants must be proficient in the language of instruction at the chosen university (usually Slovak or English).
- Short-term scholarships for international students, teachers, and researchers:
- Applicants must be citizens of a developing country.
- Applicants must have completed their Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and have an invitation letter from a Slovak university or research institution.
- Applicants must be proficient in the language of instruction at the host institution.
- Scholarships for international Ph.D. students and postdoctoral researchers:
- Applicants must be citizens of a developing country.
- Applicants must have completed their Master’s degree or equivalent and have an invitation letter from a Slovak university or research institution.
- Applicants must be proficient in the language of instruction at the host institution.
